Why we're building
BladesmithHub
Because every bladesmith deserves a better way to track their heat treats than scattered notebooks and half-forgotten spreadsheets.
The Problem We Noticed
Talk to any bladesmith who's been at it for a few years, and you'll hear a familiar story: notebooks full of heat treat notes, some readable, some not. Excel files on an old laptop. Mental notes about "that time the 80CrV2 came out perfect."
The problem isn't that bladesmiths don't document their work — many do. The problem is that traditional methods make it hard to find what you need when you need it. Flipping through pages looking for that one successful heat treat from 18 months ago isn't practical.
And when you're in the middle of a heat treat cycle, you don't have time to fuss with complicated software. You need something quick, something that works on your phone, something that respects the rhythm of the shop.
Our Approach
Quick logging first
If it takes more than 30 seconds to log a heat treat, you won't do it. We've designed every form to be fast on a phone screen.
Purpose-built for bladesmithing
Not a generic notes app. Not a project manager. A tool that understands normalize, austenitize, quench, temper cycles.
Built for the long game
Your heat treat logs should outlast any notebook. Search, filter, and export — your data belongs to you.
Privacy by design
Your recipes are your competitive advantage. We don't share your data, and you can export or delete it anytime.
Who We Are
BladesmithHub is built by a small team who believes that traditional crafts deserve modern tools — tools that respect the craft rather than try to replace it.
We're not trying to teach you how to heat treat. We're building a tool that helps you remember what you've learned, track what you've tried, and repeat what works.
Join the beta
We're rolling out BladesmithHub to a small group of bladesmiths first. If you want early access, join the waitlist on our homepage.
